Bodybuilding story released in Make MN Magazine

Bodybuilding story released in Make MN Magazine

Earlier this year, I was drawn to photograph a friend who was chasing her dream: bodybuilding. She was an editor with a background in publishing, and had a dream to work professionally in the world of fitness.

This kind of topic was a curve ball for me. Maybe not the story, as it’s simply a story about a person. But the topic pulled me in. I was intrigued. What’s it like when someone just goes balls to the wall?

My dear friend Breanna was open to being in the spotlight, thankfully. Not many people are.

I photographed her at various times over the span of a few months, and was invited to write up a piece about it for Make MN Magazine. It appears now in their Curiosity issue, a perfect match for what was a curious endeavor on my part.

You can find copies of the magazine around the Twin Cities. You can also order a copy from Make MN directly.

Make MN is a beautiful, thoughtful independent magazine. When you purchase a magazine, you make more issues possible. This publication brings makers, doers, workers, dreamers into the spotlight. I love that I got to contribute to this issue. I love that Breanna let me in. I love that I get to share this story with others.

I love to share my work with others and carry on the conversation of photography in our lives. To hear from me more often, subscribe to my newsletter:
