We're Not a Serious Family

We're Not a Serious Family

Cloudy weekend, full battery in the camera, neighborhood park. What more is there to say?

Okay, I have one more thing to say. Rather, I would like to share something that someone else once said.

After Amelia Earhart flew across the ocean in 1932, becoming the first woman to complete a TransAtlantic flight, she was asked: "Why'd you do it? Why risk your life to fly across an ocean?"

She responded:

Have you ever longed to go to the North Pole? or smell overripe apples in the sunshine? or coast down a steep, snow-covered hill to an unknown valley? or take a job behind a counter selling ribbons and show people how to sell ribbons as ribbons have never been sold before? or take a friend by the arm and say, "Forget it - I'm with you forever?" or, just before a thunderstorm, to turn ten somersaults on the lawn?

Sometimes you just gotta.
